5 Quick Vegan Options in Arlington, Texas

Vegan options in Arlington, Texas. An engaging baseball game with a full crowd at Texas stadium under bright lights.

If you’re looking for vegan options in Arlington, Texas you will most likely be disappointed. I’ll be honest… Arlington wasn’t my favorite city and the vegan options were certainly lacking.

Everything felt spread out, and I spent way more time driving than exploring. Coming from the DC area, I’m used to being able to hop between restaurants, coffee shops, and attractions without needing a 30-minute drive every time I want to eat. Arlington felt VERY car-dependent, and I found the vegan scene pretty underwhelming overall.

That said, if you find yourself in the area for a Rangers game like I did, there are a few vegan options in Arlington, Texas.

Taipo

📍 Arlington, TX
🍽️ Asian Fusion/Nepali
🌱 Vegan Options Available (clearly marked)

The first night I arrived, it was late. One of the only few places open in Arlington with vegan options was Taipo, a small Nepali restaurant offering take out with a few tables inside. Thankfully the options were clearly marked and the perfect late night dinner. The lady at the front was super friendly. Vegan options include momos, taipo, tofu chili rice bowl, chow mein, fried rice, and tofu on a stick.

Insomnia Cookies

📍 Arlington, TX
🍽️ Cookies & Desserts
🌱 Vegan Options Available

Sure it’s a chain but if you fancy yourself a vegan sweet treat after Taipo, walk 30 seconds down the block and you’ll find yourself at Insomnia Cookies, a cookie place open late with a few vegan options like vegan birthday cake flavor, chocolate chunk, and a few others. It’s a small place and every time I visited it was pretty busy, but service was fast and the cookies were delicious.

Cinnaholic

📍 Arlington, TX
🍽️ Bakery & Desserts
🌱 100% Vegan

When in doubt, get a giant vegan cinnamon roll.

Although also a chain (Texas seems to be the king of fast food/chains), Cinnaholic is completely vegan, which means you don’t have to ask a million questions before ordering dessert. They offer customizable cinnamon rolls with dozens of frosting and topping combinations, and everything is made fresh. This was easily one of my favorite stops in Arlington and one of the few places I’d go out of my way to visit again.

Loving Hut

📍 Arlington, TX
🍽️ Asian-Inspired Vegan Cuisine
🌱 100% Vegan

Loving Hut is the only fully vegan restaurant in Arlington, Texas. If you haven’t been to one of the Loving Hut locations around the world, Loving Hut is completely vegan and offers a huge menu of Asian fusion dishes and plant-based meats. Seriously, their menus are always huge with something for everyone. If you’re looking for a fully vegan restaurant in Arlington, this should definitely be on your list.

Bonus: Vegan Options at the Texas Rangers Stadium

📍 Arlington, TX
🍽️ Baseball Stadium

Don’t expect to find anything fancy at GlobeLife Field but there are a few options for vegan dishes. The main vegan concession stand is Visiting Vegan, located near Section 101 on the main concourse by the northwest entrance. This is where you’ll find most of the vegan ballpark food including vegan hot dogs, burgers, bratwurst, nachos, and Impossible nuggets. It’s fine as far as ballpark food is concerned.

Vegan food locations:

  • Section 101 — Visiting Vegan (vegan hot dog, burger, bratwurst, nachos, Impossible nuggets)
  • Section 4 — Vegan burgers, hot dogs, and nachos
  • Sections 101, 105, and 205 — Salads
  • Sections 101 and 205 — Fruit cups
  • Section 3 and the Sky Porch (201 level) — Oatly soft serve ice cream

Final Thoughts

Would I come back to Arlington specifically for the vegan food scene? Absolutely not.

The vegan options I found were fine, but nothing wowed me. My biggest complaint was how spread out everything felt. Every meal required getting back in the car, and I never got that feeling of discovering a vibrant vegan neighborhood or food scene.

If you’re visiting Arlington for a sporting event, you’ll be able to find vegan food without too much trouble. Just be prepared to drive for it.
