8 Finds for Vegan Food in Baltimore

Oleum
📍 Federal Hill
🍽️ Mediterranean-Inspired
🌱 100% Vegan
If you’re looking for something fancy, Oleum is it. They serve Mediterranean inspired dishes and use locally sourced ingredients and their food is DELICIOUS. Try their kale caesar salad, homemade fettucine alfredo, or any of their mouth watering pizzas made with homemade vegan cheeses. Oleum is located in a nice area of the city (Inner Harbor) so you can do some sightseeing and shopping before grabbing dinner. Make a reservation here.
My Mama’s Vegan
📍 West Baltimore
🍽️ Comfort Food / Carryout

Land of Kush
📍 Mount Vernon
🍽️ Soul Food
🌱 100% Vegan
A Baltimore classic, Land of Kush is the city’s go-to spot for soulful vegan comfort food. Famous for their vegan crab cakes and BBQ rib tips, this cozy restaurant serves up big portions packed with flavor. The mac and cheese, collard greens, and candied yams are so delicious, and everything on the menu is designed to leave you satisfied. It’s a must-visit for first-timers and a favorite for locals who know just how good vegan soul food can be.

Dodah’s Kitchen
📍 Multiple Locations / Farmers’ Markets
🍽️ Comfort Food & Desserts
🌱 100% Vegan
Dodah’s Kitchen is a Baltimore gem. They serve vegan Southern comfort food like mac and cheese, “wings”, lasagna, collard greens, and much more with generous portion sizes. But what really sets them apart are the desserts: their vegan cheesecakes are legendary. You can also find many of their dishes like the mac and cheese at Mom’s grocery store with Northern Virginia locations, which makes it easy to grab Dodah’s even if you can’t make it up to Baltimore.
Slutty Vegan & Bar Vegan
📍 Harbor East (Baltimore Location)
🍽️ Burgers & Fries
🌱 100% Vegan
Atlanta’s iconic vegan burger chain has made its way to Baltimore, and Slutty Vegan does not disappoint. Expect over-the-top burgers stacked high with toppings, crispy fries, and bold flavor in every bite. The atmosphere is loud, fun, and unapologetically bold—just like the food. If you’re craving a plant-based cheat meal, this is the spot. Come hungry, because these burgers are no joke.

Red Emma’s Bookstore Coffeehouse
📍 Midtown
🍽️ Café & Bookstore
🌱 Vegan-Friendly
Red Emma’s is more than a place to eat. It’s also a bookstore and community hub. The menu is vegetarian with lots of vegan options, from tofu scrambles and wraps to hearty soups and sandwiches. Pair your meal with fair-trade coffee or tea, then wander the shelves filled with radical books and zines. It’s a great spot to get some work done, grab a bite to eat, and enjoy an afternoon in Baltimore.
Chihuahua Brothers- Temporarily Closed!
📍 Mount Vernon
🍽️ Mexican-Inspired
🌱 Vegan-Friendly
Can’t make it to Mexico City anytime soon but craving vegan Mexican? Chihuahua Brothers is a fairly new vegan taqueria featuring vegan tacos using soy steak, vegan chicken, shrimp, vegan chorizo burrito, AWESOME yucca fries, and lots of other delicious plant-based ingredients. They also serve delicious tortas, quesadillas, and burritos.
Cisu
📍 Hanover, MD (just outside Baltimore)
🍽️ Pan-Asian Fusion
🌱 100% Vegan
My absolute favorite on this list, Cisu is a delicious all vegan Asian restaurant. It’s a little bit outside of Baltimore near BWI airport but I promise you it’s worth the drive. The restaurant doesn’t look like much (in an unassuming strip mall) but oh my, their tofu, noodles, and desserts are to die for. They don’t use garlic or onion in any of their dishes, but the flavors are still on point. If you’re looking for a place that feels current and plant-friendly, Cisu deserves a spot on your Baltimore food list.
